Recently GN sold its new oil sludge treatment plant. Now the oil sludge mainly comes from 3 resources: crude oil tank sludge, refinery plant waste oil sludge and drilling waste oil sludge. Oil sludge is the combination of oil, water and solids. If the oil can be effectively separated from the water and solids, it will generate great economy effect. GN’s oil sludge treatment plant is mainly used to separate the oil from the sludge, it includes the equipment as below: shale shaker, decanter centrifuge, oil water separator and thermal desorption. The shale shaker will used for the coarse separation, Decanter centrifuge is mainly used for two phase separation, to separate the oil and water from the solids. And oil and water separator is used to separate the oil from the water. And thermal desorption is used to separate the remaining oil on the solid and reduce the oil content down to 0.3%. Recently GN sold its new set of SRU (Solids Removal Unit) to an international customer which is a long time customer for GN and this is the 3rd order from the customer for this unit. The new SRU consists of 752 shale shaker, 223 mini decanter centrifuge and centrifugal pump and mixing hopper. When it’s working, the shale shaker will do the first coarse screening of the solids and the mud will be transferred to decanter centrifuge by centrifugal pump for finer screening. This unit is also equipped with a mixing hopper which makes it easy for add chemicals into the mud to meet the working requirement. And there are many advantages: the dimension of the unit is 4000*4000*2300mm which makes it easy for transportation and mobilized during operation. It’s also environmental friendly and sump free during operation. The unit is very high efficient which will save a lot of time and cost. And it’s easy to be assembled and disassembled. Due to its many edges, the unit is widely used in many mining and diamond core drilling industry which requires small volume of mud during operation.

Recently GN released its four solid control systems and today we will introduce one of them, it is Solids Removal Unit for mining industry. The Solids Removal Unit (SRU) is mainly used in the drilling fluids and solids control for the small size mining rigs for the diamond drilling. The solids removal units can provide the cost effective solution for the solids removal, reduced the environmental impact to the minimum level and greatly improved the efficiency for the diamond drilling. So it’s highly appraised by the drilling experts as the future of the diamond drilling industry. The Solids removal unit is a closed loop for drilling fluid and solid process system. It contains mini shale shaker, mini decanter centrifuge (This is GN’s 223 centrifuge which is the world’s smallest.), pumps, mixing tanks and generators(optional). The working theory is simple, the drilling fluid will be circulated from the wellbore and went onto the shale shaker for coarse screening, the fluids will flow down to the tank and be pumped up by another feeding pump into the decanter centrifuge for finer screening. And the cleaner fluid will be recirculated into the well for drilling. There are also mixing hopper, chamber and pumps making the adding of chemical easy.
