Construction Mud Solids Liquid Separation Equipment for Australia

Recently one set of construction mud solids liquid separation system are shipped to Australia, the equipments list are as below:

  1. Linear Dewatering Vibrating Screen, GNLMZ1236
    GNLMZ1236 dewatering vibration screen is especially designed to remove coarse solids from construction mud. Construction slurry dumped into a big hopper by the hydrovac truck. The main components including vibration motor, vibration beam assembly, upper beam assembly, feed end beam assembly, wallboard, support base, damping spring, adjusting pad, polyurethane screen panel, rail seat. Different with oilfield used shale shaker, the dewatering vibrator with a positive inclination angle of 4 degree adjustable, the design is suitable for different requirement to treat materials. The rubber damping spring with good damping effect, low noise, good resilience, stable mechanical performance, longer working life.
    2 Double Deck mud treatment shale shaker, GNZS706, after the big stones are separated, the double deck shale shaker top layer screen is to separate the coarse solids of the slurry, the bottom layer screens are separated the fine solids size and reduce the solids content.
  2. Mud cleaner with desilter cone, GNZJ703, after the fine solids are separated out by the double deck shale shaker bottom layer screen panel, the mud dropped into the fluids catching tank and the centrifugal pump suck the mud and feed the desilter cone, the separation cut point is 20 microns.
  3. Dewatering decanter centrifuge, GNLW553C-VFD, once the solids size bigger than 20 microns are separated mostly, the decanter centrifuge feeding pump will transfer the fluids to dewatering centrifuge for dewatering, proper chemicals will be added to improve the separation efficiency. The discharged fluids will be much clean which can be reused or disposal.
  4. Chemical dosing unit, both of the dewatering centrifuge and chemical dosing unit are designed as modular design, they are installed inside the container for convenient transportation and operation.

Drilling waste recycle and disposal

If drilling waste disposal cost is not an issue, then all the drilling waste generated can be disposal, if necessary, it can be shipped to other facility for treatment. Actually if some of the material can be recycled and reused, the solution is much more economic, that is why most contractor will select to treat the drilling waste and recycle to reduce the treatment cost and also disposal cost. To treat the drilling waste, firstly we need to know the nature of drilling waste. The drilling waste contains a large amount of base fluid, whether that fluid is diesel oil, mineral oil, olefin, ester, or water. For example, for the offshore drilling waste, diesel oil is an obvious contaminant, diesel oil-based drilling fluids and drilling waste will not be discharged into the sea. The drilling waste can be treated onsite or collected and shipped to other facility for treatment.


When oil based drilling waste is treated onsite, the vertical cuttings dryer system will be installed at the rig site. There are 2 ways to collect the drilling waste from solids control equipments, one way is to collect the drilling cuttings from primary shale shaker by screw conveyor, and transfer to vertical cuttings dryer, another way is to storage the drilling waste in a waste pit and use the excavator to pick up the waste from waste pit to drilling waste management system.
If water based drilling waste is treatment onsite, the high G drying shaker with VFD decanter centrifuge will be installed, the high G drying shaker is to separate the coarse solids and reduce the solids content, the decanter centrifuge will separate the solids particles cut point up to 2 microns. The discharged fluids can be recycled, if it is required to be disposal, proper chemicals will be added.

Fully Hydraulic Drive Centrifuge and Solids Vacuum Pump to Africa

Recently 2 units of Fully Hydraulic Drive Centrifuges and 2 units of solids vacuum pump are shipped to Africa. Including:


2 units of GNLW363D-FHD fully hydraulic drive decanter centrifuge, which is equipped with VISCOTHERM FHD System, the max capacity is 200gpm (45 m3/h), the max torque is 4163 N.M., the bowl speed is 0~ 3600rpm with max G force is 2610G, differential speed is 10~60 rpm, with bowl size is 14 inch, the bowl length is 50 inch. The full hydraulic drive system is used for high temperature ambient for heavy mud with flexible bowl and differential speed.

Working principal of sludge vacuum pump is as below:

  1. Material suction: high pressure air gets into the inlet air tube, high vacuum is produced in the vessel, when the pressure inner tank is lower than ambient pressure, the sludge material is sucked into the tank. When suction process is finished, the compressed air flow direction changes and gets into the material storage tank.
  2. Material discharge: When the pressure inside tank became higher than ambient pressure, the sludge material will be discharged out. The max horizontal discharge distance is 1000m for GNSP-40B vacuum pump, the max suction distance is 50m, the vacuum pump can transfer material with max solids content up to 80%, the max allowed solids size is 75mm. the air compressor is required to supply air flow to vacuum pump working, the pressure request is 550 Kpa to 785 Kpa ( 80 ~ 114PSI), air demand is 17m3/min (600CFM).
    The vacuum pump can be used to transfer waste mud, waste solids ( drilling cuttings), drilling fluids, sand, oil sludge , tank bottom cleaning sludge, vessel bottom clean out, waste pit cleaning, animal waste, etc.
