Vertical cuttings dryer is the ideal equipment to recover base fluids from oil based drilling waste, reduce the amount of OBM or SOBM on cuttings and reduce the waste volume to meet environmental objectives. Reduce fluid content prior to further treatment, thereby increasing process capacity.
The working process of vertical cuttings dryer system is as below:


The screw conveyor collect the OBM drilling cuttings from primary shale shaker, and transfer the drilling cuttings and discharged out from screw conveyor outlet port to vertical cuttings dryer feeding port, the vertical cuttings dryer will take away the oil and water from the cuttings which will be discharged from VCD discharge port, the fluids will flow into the intermediate tank , and the centrifuge feeding pump will feed the fluids to waste decanter centrifuge for further treatment, the separation cut point is 2 ~ 5microns, most of the fine solids bigger than 5 microns will be separated out, and the treated fluids can be recovery by adding chemical additives, or the fluids flow to a fluids catching tank with dewatering centrifuge and chemical dosing unit for further treatment, the purpose is for final disposal of the fluids.
A zero discharge drilling cuttings treatment system including solids control system and drilling waste management system, which is working in closed loop to prevent the drilling waste splash in the ground and no need to dig a waste pit in the earth. The solids control system including primary shale shaker, desander, desilter, decanter centrifuge, the drilling waste treatment system including screw conveyor, vertical cuttings dryer, decanter centrifuge , fluids catching tank and skid.

2. Large double deck Banana vibrating screen, it is mainly used in dry and wet classification, desliming, demineralization and others. The inclination angle of the screen surface at the feeding end is big, which lead the materials to be treated move faster. When the user decrease the inclination of the screen surface, the flow rate will be reduced, which improve the screening probability and improve the screening efficiency.
3. Large double deck Flip Flow vibrating screen

GN polyurethane screen panel – coarse screening with screen panel opening 0.2 ~ 30mm, it is made of polyurethane wrapped metal skeleton, with features of good wear resistance and strong corrosion resistance, but lack of high temperature resistance and good conductance.
The fine mesh polyurethane screen with screen panel opening is 0.045mm ~ 2mm, with high strength, high elasticity, high wear resistance, but conductance is not so good.
Another type mining screen is metal gap screen panel – coarse screen (opening 0.2 ~ 30mm) and stainless steel wire mesh screen – fine screen ( opening 0.038 ~ 2mm).

Triple Shale Shaker for Shandong Drilling Company

Recently one unit of triple shale shaker is ready for shipment to a drilling company in China. The 3 units of shale shakers are installed on one skid for convenient installation and transportation. Each shaker with its buffer box, and the triple shale shaker with a possum belly for mud pipeline connection.


GN conventional triple shale shaker can be updated to vacuum screen technology for option if the client need to improve the separation efficiency, recover more drilling fluids and get drier drilling cuttings. The ViST pan is installed under the last screen ( at cuttings discharge end) of the shale shaker, a suction hose is connected to ViST vacuum unit, the compressed air creates suction on the last screen surface, pulling additional fluids off the cuttings, the liquid on the cuttings can be reduced 30%~ 50%. The vacuum screen technology increase the volume of recovered and reused fluids and produce drier cuttings. Once the drilling waste volume is reduced, more drilling fluids will be recovered, it will reduce the drilling cost for drilling company client.


The single shale shaker with splash proof cover to prevent drilling fluids splashing, the control panel is installed on one side of possum belly for convenient operation. The feeding drilling fluids received from wellhead will flow to 3 shale shakers evenly for better drilling fluids separation. The solids discharge way can be bottom discharge and side discharge for option. 2ea vibration motors produce high vibration G force up to 7.6G which drived the shale shaker vibration in linear motion, the patent design deck bottom sealing rubber strip provide better sealing performance, to prevent fluids leakage to mud tank. The composite material shaker screen is installed on the shale shaker for longer working life, and reduce the time and cost to replace damaged shaker screens.

GN Solids Vacuum Pumps for drilling waste cleaning to Africa

Recently GNSP-40B and GNSP-10B sludge vacuum pumps are ready for shipment for drilling waste cleaning to Africa. The application of vacuum pump used at drilling rig site including: drilling hazardous waste cleaning, waste pit cleaning, mud tank cleaning, drilling rig platform cleaning, drilling cuttings transfer, etc.


When the vacuum pump is used as drilling cuttings transfer, it can be used as screw conveyor, which will collect the drilling cuttings from primary solids control equipments, such as shale shaker, desander, desilter, decanter centrifuge, etc. The usage of vacuum pump and screw conveyor is according to space limitation, vacuum pump needs less space for installation, the max suction distance is 50m, the max discharge distance is up to 1000m, it is 100% air operation pump without electricity power supply, just it needs air compressor for air supply. The screw conveyor needs large area for installation, and the transfer distance is very limited, and the power consumption is also high. In actual situation, the user can use both vacuum pump and screw conveyor together, the drilling waste is collected in a collection hopper by vacuum pump and transferred by screw conveyor to drilling cuttings treatment system vertical cuttings dryer and decanter centrifuge for drilling cuttings treatment and cleaning.


When the vacuum pump is used for drilling waste and waste pit cleaning, there are automatic mode and manual mode for option, and connect suction pipe, discharge pipe and air hose with air compressor, if automatic mode is selected, set the suction and discharge time after running the vacuum pump for several loops. The maximum solids size for GNSP40B vacuum pump is up to 75mm, waste solids content is up to 80%.We also provide different type suction pipe and discharge pipe to transfer different waste material with different length, each section length is 10m with joint.

2) GNZJ594J-3S16N linear motion mud cleaner, 3 units, with 3 ea of 10 inch desander cone and 16 ea of 4 inch desilter cone, treating capacity is up to 1500gpm. All of the hydrocyclones are made of 100% polyurethane material for better abrasion resistance.
3) GNSB8X6-13J centrifugal pump as feeding pump of desander cone and desilter cone, 6 units
4) 3 units of middle speed decanter centrifuge with its feeding pump GNG30-075C, for barite recovery
