CIPPE which is short for CHINA INTERNATIONAL PETROLEUM AND PETROCHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT EXHIBITION was held from March 20 to 22 in Beijing. During the 3 day show there were over 90,000 sqm exhibition space, over 80,000 visitors and over 1800 exhibitors from over 65 countries and regions presented in this show.

During the show, GN presented its new composite frame shake screes including its own OEM screens and also the replacement screens for some world famous brands, such as DERRICK, MI SWACO and NOV BRANDT, GN’s No.2 factory is specially used for manufacturing the screens and it can manufacture over 5000 pieces per month. The new screens are with many great features, such as great longevity, lighter, larger non blank area, and so on. GN also showed its new full hydraulic driven decanter centrifuge. The brand new full hydraulic driven decanter centrifuge is a great complement to its current product line, now GN already owns the mechanical and VFD decanter centrifuge, the new full hydraulic driven decanter centrifuge will greatly improve GN’s image among its customers and could be a better offer and meet more customer’s requirements. Like its predecessors, the new full hydraulic driven decanter centrifuge inherited the great features, such as the bowl material is made from duplex stainless steel 2205 by centrifugal casting, and the discharge port for solids is made from tough ceramics or tungsten carbide tiles, the effluent port could be adjustable to meet different pond depth requirement, the conveyor surface is made of tungsten carbide tiles which has better longevity and easy to maintain and service. The bearings is also from the world famous brand SKF. The full hydraulic drive system is provided by a famous Switzerland company VISCOTHERM. It also has small footprint and light weight about 3400 kgs. The max. torque could reach 4163 N.M. GN Solids Control recently won a new order from Russian customer and just finished the production of the equipment in the order and shipped all of them to the destination-Russia. This order mainly includes shale shaker, mud cleaner, decanter centrifuge and centrifugal pump.

GN’s product line covers almost everything in the solid control business area, and the products in this order are the core products, which are mature, more endurable, and popular with customers. The shale shaker, mud cleaner, decanter centrifuge and centrifugal are key elements in the solid control system for mud recycling. The shale shaker is usually used for coarse separation. It usually separates the large stones and solids by its vibration and equipped shaker screens. Now with GN’s newly developed composite frame screens, the shale shaker could be more popular and be welcomed and known by more and more customers. It used the hydrocyclones to separate the solid from the mud. Now GN can manufacture two kinds of cyclones, 4 inch and 10 inch.  The mud cleaner can separate the solid size from 20 to 40 microns. If the customer need even finer separation after the mud cleaner, GN can offer decanter centrifuge to them. The decanter centrifuge can separate the solid size up to 5 to 10 microns. GN Solids Control recently won another big order from a Middle East customer, this order includes several shale shakers and a full container of shaker screens. All the products will be used in the oilfield for separation of the solids in the drilling mud.

Solid control equipment plays a key role in separating the large solids in the drilling mud to maintain the property of the drilling mud and improve the drilling efficiency. Usually the solid control system in the drilling system is composed of shale shaker, desander, desilter, mud cleaner, decanter centrifuge, vacuum degasser, various kind of pumps and pipelines, and mud tanks. The shale shaker  is usually used for the first stage separation, also called coarse separation. And another important consumable working together with the shale shaker is the screens. There are two main types of screens, the composite frame and the steel frame. Right now GN is gradually upgrading its screen system to the composite. Now GN can not only manufacture its own OEM screens, but also can manufacture many world famous replacement screens, such as the DERRICK 500, DERRICK 2000, MI SWACO MONGOOSE, NOV BRANDT KING COBRA/ VENOM, FLUID SYSTEMS and so on. There are many great features for the new composite screens. All the composite screens are pre-tensioned, which will make the layers of different wire mesh combined together better and make the screen life longer. All the screens can usually work for 300 to 700 hours under different working conditions. The composite screens can perform better under the harsh environment and could be stored longer, usually over 5 years. The composited screens over API 60 will be 3 layers of wire mesh, while the other manufacturers only do 3 layers only when API over 120. A full container of replacement shaker screens for MONGOOSE were recently sent out from China and will be arriving in Middle East soon. This means GN will continue to set the shaker screen as one of its strategic products during the industry’s downturn.
The full container of shaker screens are all composite frames. Theses screens are all manufactured from GN’s new facility, also called the No. 2 facility. This facility was just opened this summer and mainly focused on manufacturing the composite frame screens. Now the manufacturing capability will be like 5000 pieces per month which can meet the customer’s requirement for quick delivery but lower prices. Now the production of the shaker screens in China has realized the large scale, which means the quality, productivity and efficiency have all been improved dramatically. All the screens will be packed in a paper carton, then they will be placed into crates which are easily moved by forklift.

Now GN’s shaker screens cover from its own OEM screens, the replacement screens for DERRICK 500 series, 2000 series, Dual pool, Hyper pool, Mongoose/Meercat, King Cobra/ Venom, Fluid Systems, Elgin and so on. If a customer need something that is not on GN’s regular screen list, GN can also customize the screens for the customer, just tell GN the dimension and better take a picture, GN will customize the screen for the customer with 100 percent satisfaction. And GN’s new composite screens have some new great features, the screen will be much lighter than the old metal frame, there will be more non-blank area, it will be more endurable, there are 3 layers of mesh. They are all four side tensioned and all the layers of mesh will be combined together very well without having too much gap between each layer.
