This week GN sold its cutting dryer and decanter centrifuge to a Chinese customer in Shandong province for the 1500 HP drilling rig.
Among all of GN’s products, the cutting dryer and decanter centrifuge are the star products as they have been in the market for a long time and very mature and reliable, many customers like them. There are two types of cutting dryer, fixed speed and VFD.There are three different kind of screens for your choice, 250 micron, 350 micron and 500 micron. The handling capacity is 30 to 50 tons per hour. The screen bowl’s maximum diameter is 930mm. The special design of high pressure air knife can clean the basket screen automatically and easily, and avoid the screen to be blinded by the viscosity mud and water based mud. The drilling mud will first comes to the cutting dryer for the first degree separation to eliminate the greater solids. After being treating by the cutting dryer, the slurry will be transferred to the decanter centrifuge which can separate even smaller solids up to 20 micons. The decanter centrifuge is also using the centrifugal force to separate the solids and it works similarly to the cutting dryer. After the separation by the decanter centrifuge, the mud will be in great feature for reuse for the drilling work and will be ready to be pumped downhole.
