Workover drilling rig mud system for China Drilling Company

Recently one set of workover drilling rig mud system are shipping to China drilling company. The technical configuration is as below:


1) Linear motion Shale shaker, since the workover rig operation do not need so much volume drilling fluids, one unit shale shaker treating capacity is enough , normally they will not use desander cone and desilter cone, which will need high power consumption centrifugal pump as feeding pump, only when it is required by the user, we will install the desander or desilter or mud cleaner.


2) Desander with its feeding pump, this is a desander unit without bottom shale shaker, the desander cone separation cut point is 45 microns, the desilter cone cut point is 25 microns. The centrifugal pump motor power could be 45 KW or 55 KW.
3) Mixing hopper and mixing pump worked as mixing unit of the mixing tank, to prepare for new drilling fluids which can be reused by the drilling rig.

5) Mud agitator and mud gun, the coupling type mud agitator is required by the client, our standard model is direct connected type mud agitator, which the motor and gearbox is connected directly. The previous worm wheel type gearbox is no long used any more, the new type mud agitator are all helical type gearbox with reliable mixing performance.
6) Mud tank system, tank top is covered by galvanized steel grating for convenient watching the liquid level and for easy operation. The painting color could be customized as per client’s requirement. One tank is shaker tank with mixing unit, the other tank is reserve tank with only mud agitator and mud gun installed on it.

Drilling Mud Desander and Desilter for China Oilfield Service Company

Recently one batch of drilling mud desander and desilter are ready for shipment to China oilfield service company. There are 3 types mud cleaner/ desander / desilter traditionally, we have 2 options for desander, one is bare desander without bottom shaker, one type is desander cone with bottom shale shaker, which is to collect more useful drilling fluids. Desilter also have 2 options, one is bare desilter without bottom shaker, another type desilter is desilter cone with bottom shale shaker, which is also called mud cleaner. There are also 2 types mud cleaner, one type is desilter cone and bottom shaker 2 in 1, the other type mud cleaner is 3 in 1, including desander cone, desilter cone and bottom shale shaker. We can design different type fluids discharge and solids discharge trough as per client’s requirement and tank space layout.


We can provide different treating capacity desander, desilter and mud cleaner by adding different qty desander cone and desilter cone, with 500gpm, 1000gpm, 1500gpm treating capacity. The hydrocyclone is made of 100% polyurethane, the max drilling fluids temperature can be used is up to 80 degree. The color has option of red and black. The standard inlet pipe size is 6 inch, the standard outlet pipe size is 8 inch, as per customer’s requirement, we can also make it 10 to 12 inch.


The desander, desilter and mud cleaner is used after the primary shale shaker, and after that, we will use degasser ( vacuum degasser or centrifugal degasser) to separate the gas from the gas cut mud. Compared with the bare desander and desilter without bottom shale shaker, the mud cleaner can recycle more useful drilling fluids, and the discharged solids gets more drier.

Desander Machine for drilling mud treatment for HDD company

Recently 2 units of desander unit are ready for shipment to HDD engineering company for HDD drilling mud treatment. The desander machine is also called economic configuration HDD mud cleaning unit, compare with high configuration HDD mud recycling unit, the desander unit is with compact footprint, economic price and flexible installation.


Advantages:

  1. Small area required, especially suitable for Piling, HDD and TBM works which is close to city center and space is very limited.
  2. Less budget, if the user has its own storage tank and mixing unit, they do not need to buy a complete HDD mud cleaning unit, they only need to buy a desander unit to connect with their storage tank and mixing unit, they pay less money to finish their projects.
  3. Flexible connection, as above, the customer do not always need to buy complete HDD mud recycling unit, the desander unit can be flexibly installed for different projects if only they have storage tank and mixing unit, which can be made locally to save freight cost and import tax.

  4. But compared with complete HDD mud recycling unit, the desander unit also has its disadvantages, for example, even though the treating capacity is same, but the treating performance is lower, for big HDD machine, the user must use complete HDD mud recycling unit to protect the HDD machine, if the recycling unit working efficiency is not enough, the working life of HDD machine will be influenced. GNMS-500D desander unit with desander cone only, so the separation cut point is 45 microns, if the project required separation cut point of the slurry is 20 microns, the user should add desilter cone and its centrifugal pump, which is included in the complete HDD mud recycling unit.

Drilling Mud dewatering Unit and Solidification Unit in Africa jobsite

GN drilling mud dewatering unit and solidification unit are successfully used in Africa jobsite.


The drilling mud dewatering unit is ideal equipment to treat the water based drilling mud, it consists of VFD decanter centrifuge, chemical dosing unit, centrifuge feeding pump and fluids collection tank, all of the equipments are installed inside the container. By adding proper chemicals, most of the ultra fine solids are separated out from the fluids and collect in the tank, the solids are separated out and collected by cuttings box and screw conveyor to transfer to the big hopper of the solidification unit. The decanter centrifuge bowl is made of duplex stainless steel 2205 or 2304, the other bowl components are made of SS316L, the screw propeller is made of stainless steel material, and it is protected by tungsten carbide tiles, the open type propeller design will increase the treating efficiency.


Solidification unit is the equipments to solidify materials so that the treated materials can be moved or landfilled without leakage to meet environmental protection standard. The discharged cuttings are collected in the big collection hopper and transferred by the bottom screw conveyor, the solidification materials are storage into 2 box, one is with absorbents, the other one is with cement, each box with its own transfer conveyor, the cuttings are mixed with the absorbents and cement in the shear mixer automatically.
If the user use the cuttings solidification unit directly, the consumption of the absorber and cements will be very huge, which makes the treatment cost not competitive. The drilling mud dewatering unit will reduce the moisture of the drilling mud effectively and the cuttings solidification unit can use less volume chemicals, and the discharged fluids can be reused or sent to third party water treatment facility for further treatment.

Oil Sludge Treatment Plant commissioning for China Client

Recently one set of oil sludge treatment plant are finished commissioning for our customer in China. It is our standard designed oil sludge treatment system.
The technical configuration is as below:


1) Pre-mixing tank modular: the mud agitator are installed on the mixing tank, the received oil sludge adding proper chemicals and mixing them evenly. The submersible slurry pump transfer the free oil sludge to coarse solids separation modular.
2) Coarse solids separation modular, the high G drying shaker separate the big solids from the oil sludge and reduce the solids content. So that the fluids will be safe to be transferred to decanter centrifuge.


3) 3 phase separation modular, the screw pump feed the fluids to decanter centrifuge with chemical dosing unit, most of the fine solids below 5 microns will be separated out. The fluids are dropped into the catching tank, the pump transfer the fluids to disc centrifuge, which will separate the oil and water, the oil flow to oil buffer tank and water is storage in water buffer tank. The water can be reused in the treatment system, the oil can be recovered. The washing tank is installed to wash the disc centrifuge to avoid blocking. All of the electric control system are explosion proof standard.

Before order, we encourage client to send the oil sludge sample to GN solids engineer and make a lab test to confirm if the chemicals are proper for the oil sludge or not, the customer will order until the testing result is good. After the whole system are shipped to customer’s jobsite, our engineer will come as per request for first time commissioning and training.
