Drilling Mud Recycling Unit and Hydraulic Centrifuge for Overseas Client

Recently one set of 500 gpm mud recycling system for trenchless mud treatment and one set of diamond core drilling hydraulic drive solids removal unit for overseas client.
The 500 gpm mud recycling system consists of shale shaker, mud cleaner, desander feeding pump, desilter feeding pump, 20ft container size mud tank, 20ft container lifting frame, mud tank accessories and electric control system. It is a customized design 500gpm mud recycling system for our client, we also have standard 200gpm, 400gpm. 600gpm, 800gpm, 1000gpm mud recycling system for HDD mud cleaning, mixing, recycling.


The core drilling hydraulic centrifuge system is solids liquid separation of waste water for diamond core drilling. The features of the core drilling hydraulic centrifuge system including compact design, modular design, lightweight to meet the requirement for helicopter hoisting, can operate without electricity power supply. The technical configuration is as below:

2. Feeding and discharge pump: 2X FHD pump
3. Treating capacity: 50~130L/Min
4. Separation cut point: 2~5 Microns
5. Driving method:Diesel + Hydraulic drive

The treatment process is as below:


The mud is pumped into the sedimentation bin of the buffer tank, so that the large particle sedimentation. After that, the mud overflow to the slurry supply bin of the feeding tank, the pumped by the #1 slurry pump to the hydraulic centrifuge for ultrafine solids separation. If without the sedimentation process, one unit of mini shale shaker will be used to separate the coarse solids from the mud. The mud treated by the hydraulic centrifuge flows into discharge tank and transferred to drilling machine by No.2 transfer pump, the treated clean water can be reused to prepare for new drilling fluids and used by the core drilling for cost saving.

A track mounted mud treatment system is a mobile, self-contained system commonly used in geothermal wells and water well drilling. This system is designed for easy mobility, making them suitable for operations in remote or hard to reach locations. GN produced track mounted mud treatment system – composed of modules such as track platform, mud treatment system, and generator.


The mud treatment system is fixed with the track platform, the mud cleaner GNZY754K-Y6N is combination of 6ea 4 inch hydrocyclones installed on top of double deck shale shaker, the top screen area is 1.35m2, the bottom screen area is 1.35m2, the separation cut point is 15 ~ 20 microns. The treating capacity is up to 500gpm. The century mixing hopper and mixing pump are installed on the mud tank for the mud mixing if need. The whole system is within the track platform, which can be loaded into the 40ft container. The total power of the mud system is 11KW, the generator installed on the track system can support both of the mud treatment system and track drive. It can be remotely controlled to walk, move forward and backward, turn, and climb slopes, meeting different road conditions.

Mud Mixing System and recycling unit for HDD company

One unit of 500gpm mud recycling unit GNMS-500K and one set of 20m3/h mud mixing system are ready for shipment to HDD company.
Compared with old model 500gpm mud recycling unit GNMS-500D, the new designed GNMS-500K is with the features as below:


1. New model double deck shale shaker GNZS754K instead of GNZY753E for larger screen area, the GNZS754K shale shaker with top screen area 1.4m2, bottom screen area 1.4m2, total screen area is 2.8m2. GNZY753E shale shaker with top screen area 0.875m2, the bottom screen area is 1.35m2.
2. Different hydrocyclnes, the old GNMS-500D mud recycling unit with 1ea of 10 inch desnader cone, the new GNMS-500K mud recycling unit with 10 ea of 4 inch desilter cone, the separation cut point is reduced from 40 microns to 25 microns.
3. Different hydrocyclone feeding pump, to reduce the footprint of the mud recycling unit and increase effective mud tank capacity, we changed the horizontal centrifugal pump ( which is installed on the tank skid) to submersible slurry pump ( installed vertically), the motor power is also reduced. During shipment, the motor can be removed and lay down to reduce the height of the recycling unit to load it into the standard container, the hydrocyclone frame will be also removed to fit for container shipment.
4. Reduced power consumption of the mud recycling unit, the total power is reduced.


The mud recycling unit can be customized for different mixing capacity and mixing tank capacity. The mixing hopper and mixing pump can be installed on the mixing tank skid for convenient movement, also they can be installed on a separate skid and connect with mixing tank.
Except for the compact design mud recycling unit, GN solids control also produce self contained mud recycling system with mud cleaning, recycling, mixing, storage function.

2 sets of 500gpm mud recycling system ready for shipment to South America

Recently 2 sets of 500gpm mud recycling system are ready for shipment to South America, this is customized mud recycling system based on GNMS-600B self contained 600gpm mud recycling system. The technical configuration is as below:


1. 3 phase cleaning mud cleaner,which consists of double deck shale shaker, desander cone, desilter cone, the separation cut point is 15 microns. The bottom layer shaker screen can be used as coarse solids separation shale shaker, the top layer shaker screen works as mud cleaner shaker screen. 2ea of 2.6HP vibration motor drived the double deck shale shaker, with bottom 3 panel shaker screens and top 3 panel shaker screens .The drilling fluids treated by bottom shaker screen dropped into the sand trap, the desander feeding pump suck the drilling fluids and feed to desander cone, the treated mud dropped in to desander compartment, the desilter feeding pump suck the drilling fluids and feed to desilter cone, the clean mud flow to desilter compartment, it can be reused or mixed with chemical additives to prepare for new drilling fluids.

Mud Recycling Unit for overseas Trenchless Projects

Recently several sets of mud recycling system are ready for shipment to overseas trenchless projects.


The trenchless mud recycling system is a specialized equipment setup used in horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and other trenchless technologies. Its primary function is to clean drilling fluids (commonly known as mud) during the drilling process. The purpose is to use the trenchless mud recycling system is that the recycling drilling fluids can be used to lubricate the drill bit, stabilize the borehole, and carry cuttings back to the surface. These fluids need to be constantly circulated and maintained to ensure efficient drilling and environmental compliance.

The basic configuration of a mud recycling system is consists of primary shale shaker, mud cleaner, feeding pump, centrifugal pump, mud agitator, decanter centrifuge, mud tank, etc.


The compact design mud cleaning unit consists of double deck shale shaker with hydrocyclones, the bottom layer shaker screen works as primary shale shaker to separate coarse solids from the drilling mud, the clean fluids dropped into the intermediate tank, the feeding pump feed the mud to hydrocyclones for second phase cleaning, the top layer shaker screen as mud cleaning drying screen to recycle more fluids. The clean fluids flow to client’s storage tank or mixing tank to prepare for new drilling fluids.
The hydrocyclone size is for optional for different applications, for TBM and Pilings, 10 inch, 12 inch or 20 inch can be selected; for HDD applications, 10 inch, 4 inch can be used. For more information, pls contact with GN solids sales.
